First hospital visit

Natalia has Tracheomalacia.  We found this out at her 2 week visit, and have been monitoring it.  The noises she makes got worse yesterday.  I ended up bringing her into the pedi office, and they checked her oxygen level and vitals.  When the doctor watched her breathe, she said that her muscles were working a little too hard to make her breathe.  She was also breathing 50 times a minute, an infant should only be doing 30.  This was enough to send her to the hospital.  We drove out to Greenville, and got admitted.  She was very angry when she found out she had to be naked.  =/  Poor thing was so cold!

She needed to be monitored for 24 hours.  When we first got there, she had an elevated temp of 100.5.  Thankfully it never stayed that way, it went back to the normal temp.  After a little while she got her gown and was left alone.  Since it was her first day, they needed to check her vitals every 4 hours.  She was not pleased.

After not having any naps throughout the day, she was able to sleep for a 6 hour stretch.  She was woken up for her vitals, and fell right back asleep.  Our little girl did so good, and we were so proud.  This morning the doctors checked on her and said she was sounding a bit better.  They said we would have to deal with this until she grew out of it.  Thankfully she only has a mild diagnosis, and will not require surgery.  At 11 am we were told we could go home, so we had to wake up Sleeping Beauty.  <3
